Grousing About...
by Ben Grousing

Patience
(July 16, 2004) Where in the world has our patience gone? I often look around in wonder and wonder, I am both in the state of "wonderment", as well as curious to myself, how could things be as they are?  MORE

Living with Imperfection
(June 19, 2004) I’ve come to the realization recently that, you just can’t fix some things. People, more specifically, their perspectives, how they view the world, and the dilemmas they might be caught up in. I believe that most people are "where they are", "why they are", and "how they are", not due to, obviously in general, circumstances beyond their control, rather due to who they have become. MORE

What’s Life All About?
(February 20, 2004) A topic I tend to think about, and perhaps many of you do as well. Is "what is life all about"? Without including many of the religious or heavily philosophical perspectives which are offered, I generally think of life with my own, simplistic understanding. MORE

Suit Yourself - You Sue, I Sue, We All Sue
(June 20 2003)  Let's talk about (grouse about) litigation. Who is suing who, and why? Well, the answer is simple lots of people are suing lots of other people for money. You can apparently cure and console many people by forcing them and their insurance companies to pay up. MORE

Walking a Fine Line Between Good and Evil
(May 16, 2003)  I’ve been grousing again, “Grousing” you ask? It means to complain, usually in an informal, self-serving way. It’s in my nature, in my minds eye so to speak. I observe, see things, and try to rationalize them internally, often finding that, in my own simple, common sense based way, I am, again, grousing. MORE

MCAS: Who’s Really Being Tested?
(March 20, 2003) Who is really being tested by the MCAS? I've thought about the educational system and my personal experience. I've thought about my own progression through grade school, high school, and college. I recall the subjects which I enjoyed and excelled in, and those in which, in the earlier years, I did not enjoy or excel in. I have also taught in many circumstances and throughout different age ranges, mostly math, but also tutored in other subjects as well.
