The Major John Bradford House

Almost from the day it was built in 1675, Major Bradford's house has been a Kingston landmark. The W. H. Halliday photo above is undated but appears to have been taken around the turn of the last century. It was published and sold at the Boston Athenaeum.

For almost as long as anyone can remember, volunteers have maintained the house and grounds as a living tribute to Kingston's past. Pictured at right is Myrtle Bradford and Mable Roudolph dressed in Pilgrim costume. The photo was taken around 1930.

Note on this photo: the house in the background is NOT the Maj. John Bradford house.
