Question:
If you were an elf and Santa asked you to invent a new toy,
give it a name and tell us about it.
Featuring KES students from the 2nd grades classes of
Mrs. Corazzari and Mrs. Ajemian.
BRADFORD KEARBEY – If I were an elf I would invent a new toy called the “Thinker”.
The Thinker is a computer that you can type really fast on. You just think
about something and move your finger near the first letter of the sentence
and the Thinker reads your brain and types your thoughts.
EMILY ROSSI – If I were Santa’s elf I would make the Bugger Lover. It looks
like a bug that has hearts all over its back. You have to turn the lever on
its back to make it work. When it’s on, heart-shaped bubbles come out. When
a heart bubble touches you it gives you good luck.
CAITLIN CHAVES – If I were an elf I would make
an awesome new crayon called the Magicator. It would have all colors in the
world and would work through magic. You would make a secret code and when
you said a color, Magicator would become that color. Children would never
have to get another crayon again.
JESSICA DOUGHERTY— If I had to make a new
invention it would be a book called Toddler Book that reads by itself. It
reads any book you put inside it. The book has a special light that you can
use in the dark and the book would light up each word to help children learn
to read.
SAMUEL BALLREINI –
I have invented
a new toy called The Atomic Lieutenant Robot. It will do whatever you want.
It will zap your brothers and sisters. It has big strong muscles and it can
flex his eight packs too. Robot is very sneaky and can sneak soda and
cookies for you too.
BRETT DAVIS –
If I were an elf I would
invent a Well Wisher. It would grant any wish you asked for and would look
like a head in a box. You can wish for things like a cotton candy machine, a
puppy, or a computer. It runs by magic and you can fit it in anywhere.
HARVEY STEVENS --
If I were an elf I
would invent the flying robot. It would fly whenever you say, “Rover”! It
would have a silver metal body and head, red dots on its head for ears and
steel legs with aluminum. It would come down when you shout, “Rover In”!!
KEVIN MASSE -- If I were an elf I would invent
a flying skateboard. It would have wheels and a back that shoots out fire.
It would ride in the air, on cement and rocky dirt and the jet board would
grind on an invisible rail.
BRIAN SPLAINE --
If I were an elf I
would invent a laser ultra gun shooter 4000. The Shooter would fire lasers
and bullets and you would be able to go inside it because it would be life
size. Children would need an adult to help them operate the controls.
ELIZABETH GALLAGHER --
If I were one
of Santa’s elves I would invent a butterfly robot called the Flyer. It would
be a shimmery butterfly with a black leather seat and remote controls. It
would be able to go 80 miles per hour and I believe everyone would want to
have it this year.
LAUREN PRICE --
If I were an elf I
would invent a unicorn toy called Sparkly. When you sit on the unicorn it
would come alive and begin to fly. It would be able to fly because it would
have wings. The unicorns tail and body would be white, the wings sparkly
pink and the horn silvery and sparkly.
BRENDAN ENGLISH –
My toy is
called the Twinkling Star. It is a light; it would glow in the dark and help
kids fall asleep. When you push the music button it would play soft music.
When you push another button it would turn back into a flashlight.
KIM COLE --
If I were an elf I would
invent a walking, talking wooden bear called Holly. The bear would be four
feet tall, very colorful and could play with you juts like a real friend.
Holly would come with a book all about bears that she could read to you.
TIFFANY McLAUGHLIN--
If I were an elf I would invent a toy star. Its name would be
Popstar. It would be melon colored, you could sleep or play with it, and you
could pretend it was a real star that you could hold.
JAMES SMITH --
If I were an elf I
would invent a new toy called a chore-bot. You would just tell Chore-bot the
chores to do and it would do them. It would not be able to go to school but
it could do your homework. It would have a square head and body with rollers
for feet.
EMMA CAZEAULT --
If I were an elf I
would invent an electric pencil box called the Magic Box. It passes you a
toy, a pencil or a crayon. It would be funny because it could tell you jokes
and you could read a book with it. It could even write a story with you!
ELIZABETH GRAZIANO -- If I were an elf I would
invent the new toy Squeaky Heart. It would light up when you touch it and
have pink, red and yellow designs on it. Squeaky Heart could twinkle like a
star and would change its shape just by squeezing its body.
DANNY WHITE --
If I were an elf I would make a toy called Scorpio Spider. It
would be half scorpion, half spider, have two claws, six legs, fangs and
would squirt from its belly. It would be the size of a teddy bear and if it
were real it would fight the bad guys.
DANIEL PARSONS --
If I were an
elf I would invent a Grass Board. The Board would look like a skateboard
except move on grass and work great in valleys. In order to build it you
would need four wheels, wood, a wrench and a screwdriver. The Grass Board
would move by just giving it a push.
PATRICK O’LEARY --
If I were an
elf I would invent a Speed Machine. When playing with the Speed Machine you
would have to be on land. The Speed Machine would be boat with a huge motor
on the back seat, would come with a remote, and have flashing lights and a
seat in the front for a person.
JESSICA RUXTON --
If I were an
elf I would invent an Angel that cold talk, walk and fly. She would wear a
red white and blue dress.
MIRANDA ALLEN --
If I were an elf I would invent a toy called the Summersault
Person. It would need batteries and it you put it on the ground it would do
summersaults and you could push a button to make it stop.
LAURA PEDDELL --
If I were an elf I would invent the Longograph, the Stone
Phone, the Snipanater, the Byonic Room Cleaner, the Plantocola, the Popocolo,
the mountofolo to name a few.
ELIZABETH PRIOLO --
If I were an elf I would invent a wooden horse. I would name
it LeighAnn and you could ride it across the room. It would be a good friend
and everyone would like it. The good thing about it is if you or anyone is
allergic, it doesn’t matter and it would only feed on batteries.
DANIELLE
TOMASELLO -- If I were an elf I would invent my new toy called the Voice
Controlled Barbie Beatle. The Barbie Beatle would be doing what you wanted
by giving it commands and it would come in any color. It would be great to
be able to play with it and not have to hold a controller in your hand.
RENEE NICKERSON --
If I were an
elf I would invent Automatic Talking Barbie that would talk to me when I
played with her. She wouldn’t have buttons or batteries and would be dressed
in a pink dress with blue flowers. She would be a lot of fun.
STEPHANIE WRIGHTINGTON --
If I were an
elf I would be a toy maker who would make dolls for all the
little girls. I also would make Santa Claus some cookies in the kitchen.
That’s what I would do if I were an elf.
MICHAEL HEINE --
If I were an elf I
would invent a toy called Riptos Transformers. They would transform into
submarines or a tank. They would be remote controlled by pressing one button
causing it to transform from the submarine to a tank.
NATHANIEL
WHITE -- If I were an elf I would invent a toy called MicroCycle that
you could ride, wash and paint different colors.
ANNA DUFFY --
If I were an elf I would invent The Super Human Glider, a
pair of light jet powered wings that would let children fly.
EVAN McKENNA --
If I were an elf I would invent a toy called Airboard.
It would be a skateboard that flies. When it went really fast the wheels
would lock, then fire would shoot out of the back and you would be lifted up
into the sky. You would press a button with your toe and then you could do
airboard tricks.
ERIC HANSON --
If I were an elf I
would invent a bowling game. You would put the ball in the gun and then
shoot the ball and would play the game one on one. It will be a game
that everyone will want. The name of it is the Target Ball and you’ll love
it.
STERLING CONNOLLY --
If I were an elf I would invent the Mini-Flying Ice Cream
Machine. It will give you any type of ice cream you want by putting a
penny in it. If you throw the machine, it will come back to you and it will
never run out of ice cream. The machine will also sell candy and soda too.
CONNOR BARBAS --
If I were an elf I would invent the Little People Ski Lift.
Inside each chair lift is room for five people. There are 15 chair lifts and
they would go up and down. It would be motorized and run on batteries. It
would come with Lego people to ski or snowboard. A mountain with jumps would
be included.
ROBERT THIBEAULT --
If Santa asked me to make a new toy I’d call it the Candy
Creator. It would be a computer program with a tube attached for candy to
come out. You’d select ingredients on the screen and type size, flavor and
wrapper. All in all, it would be a sweet treat-maker.
TYLER ASKIN --
If I were an elf I would invent a Matchbox Cat that when you
press a button it would change into a ball. The name of my toy is the Bouncy
Matchbox Car.
DAMIAN BAIRD --
If I were an elf I would invent the NASCAR Champion, which
would be the first car to have real rockets that would be powerful enough to
reach Pluto.
VICTORIA THOMPSON --
If I were an elf I would invent a brand new toy called the
Race Car that had seventeen wheels and would go one hundred miles per hour
when you press a special button.
ASHLEY REED --
If I were an elf I would invent the cleaning robot. The
cleaning robot would clean every room in the house and then polish the
living room.
ASHLEY SAMPSON --
If I were an elf I would invent a Barbie that swims and her
name would be Sandy. She would have a pink bathing suit and yellow hair.
When you were swimming in the pool she could swim with you. You would
be able to have fun together, race in the pool, have lunch together and have
fun being together.
UMA SHARMA --
If I were an elf I would invent a toy and call it Luvit. It
would be a cute doll that would sing, tell stories and talk. Luvit would
give kisses at night when kids sleep and could be connected to the Internet
to get new songs and stories. Don’t you just Luvit? |
