Question:
If you could accomplish something new in
2003, what would it be and why?
Featuring KES children from the sixth grade classes of Mrs.
Aubut and Mrs. Hopkins
CHRISTOPHER LYONS – In 2003 I want to accomplish a couple of things. I want
to be better in school because I want to get straight A’s. I also want to
get better in baseball, and work on my pitching. I think baseball is a
career for me because I’m really good at it.
JACKIE GLENNON – In 2003 I’m aiming for a bulls eye. I want to invent a
machine to keep oneself organized, like a handheld computer, except easier
to program. I’d need it myself, as I’m “in the net.” It would probably lead
unorganized kids and adults to more successful lives. Pretty understandable,
don’t you think?
VICTOR HULT – If I could accomplish something in 2003 it would be to become
a great paintball player able to do many amazing feats. Why? Because I would
love to see our paintball team walk away with the championship. Then I could
aim to be the best paintball sniper ever.
CASSANDRA OHMAN – In 2003 I’ll try my hardest to become a better student, so
I can get into good classes next year. I will study harder and longer to
improve my grades on all papers and tests. I will strengthen my work habits,
so I can be smarter than I am now.
CHRISTINE AGHJAYAN – My goals for 2003 are to help the community. I want to
establish funds to stop deforestation and pollution. Animals are forced to
live in neighborhoods and people are scared to go outside. If the community
works together we can accomplish so much. I hope I can make a different in
Kingston.
BRIANNA CABRAL – I would like to improve my sports performance and my grades
in 2003. I play four sports, basketball, dance, softball and swimming and
maybe I can win the Olympic gold. I’d also like to act and become famous. I
have already been in a movie. It was enough to want to do more.
JACOB LUQUE – In 2003 I would like to get better at baseball. I need to
improve my pitching, because I want to throw faster and I want to be able to
be as great as I can be.
DANIEL PEPE – For the year 2003, I want to win a paintball competition. The
players on my team are Jeff, Victor, Tyler, Greg and I. We practice on the
two fields behind my house. I often play one-on-one with Jeff.
CRAIG OLSON – In 2003 I will become a great ball player. I’ll be starting my
plan of being a major leaguer. I want to do this because I get a good
feeling when I play the game. Also, I’ll be fulfilling my dad’s dream and
mine. Look for me on the field!
ASHLEY HAEN – “Right where I want to be!” I think many people slack off. If
I could accomplish anything in 2003, it would be to set a high standard for
myself and keep this standard for grades to come. As my title says, I’m
“Right where I want to be!”
KATIE EMMETT – In 2003, I would like to overcome my fears and try out for a
solo in chorus and to work harder in school. When I’m older, I would like to
get a job as a singer or a lawyer. Staying in school would help me become a
lawyer. I hope to go to a good school and have a successful career.
JOYCIE RIVERA – In 2003 my goals are to have succeeded in the sixth grade
and to have improved my grades. I will focus and speak up more in class. I
am trying also to do better in basketball and soccer. Accomplishing my goals
for this year will make me happy.
DIANA CYBULSKA – In 2003 I’ll accomplish a lot. I’d like to become a better
student and more prepared for seventh grade. I also love to act, so I need
to do some more plays. I would like to become a famous actress someday and
be in the movies. Wish me luck!
OLIVIA WHITE – I want to accomplish learning kick boxing in 2003. I would
like to prove that guys aren’t the best at everything. Kickboxing can also
teach me self-defense, which can be helpful. I love active sports. Practice
can give me something fun to do in my spare time.
PATRICK CARVER – If I could accomplish something, it would be to keep my
grades up. The way I would do this is by studying, doing my homework every
night and taking good notes. The reason is to make my family and me proud of
my achievement.
TAYLOR ALLEN – In 2003 I will become all around better at what I do and have
more fun, if that’s possible. To achieve more skill in basketball and other
sports with all of the other things, will give me lots of choices in
college.
REBECCA LEDIN – In 2003, I will try harder in school by making honor roll.
School is very important and it would be wonderful if I did better. I want
to improve on my skateboarding skills, because I think that it is a cool
talent. This year I will try two new things: joining a football team and a
baseball team. Those are my favorite sports.
GEORGE PRIOLO – If I could accomplish one goal in 2003 it would be to become
a Moto-cross racer. The reasons are: my dad always races and I do to; and I
love jumping and speed which are two qualities needed in a racer. If I could
accomplish this I would be glad.
ZARAH SIKORA – I wish to earn my second-degree black belt. The art of Karate
teaches me to defend myself, as well as master twenty attributes as I grow
in rank. This mental discipline can help me graduate with honors, which
would put me in a good spot for future education and AP.
ZACHARY GOVONI – The things I want to improve on in 2003 are: being
organized so I can get my work done; playing hockey so I can get my third
and final patch; working on English so I don’t get yelled at about my report
card; and drumming so I can be as good as my uncle.
COLLEEN GILLESPIE – In 2003 I want to be a better writer and a better sister
and daughter. I love to write stories and poetry and hopefully Mrs. Hopkins
will help me. I would also like to be nicer as a sister and daughter by
improving in science, cleaning, and by being friendlier to Vinny, my
brother.
JESSICA HOGAN – In 2003 I will become a better person and will try a new
instrument. I could become a better person by donating clothing and toys to
shelters. I would like to try to play the keyboard, because I will probably
never forget it later on in life.
KAITLIN MURRAY – In 2003 I’d like to accomplish many goals, be an A student
and improve in the sports I play – which are soccer golf, basketball, and
volleyball. All in all, if my goals come true I can have open opportunities
for when I choose a career.
COLLEEN McNALLY – In 2003 I would like to succeed in being a better student
and athlete. I’ll be leaving this school, so I’d like to win high honors and
the Presidential Award. I also will practice more basketball to improve my
skills.
LINDSAY McNAMARA – My goal in 2003 is to be better at school. I want
straight A’s in the second and third terms at school. Another goal is to
receive awards on the last day of school. I want the Principal’s Award and
hopefully my goals will be achieved.
JACKIE ROCHE – In 2003, I’d like to help the Humane Society. Too many
innocent animals are being put to sleep that don’t have homes. I would raise
money so animals won’t have to be put to sleep. In conclusion, I’d like to
help animals in many ways and this is just a start.
STEPHANIE MOONEY – In 2003 I will become a better person. I will try by
completing schoolwork on time, being kinder and more helpful. I can also
improve in basketball because I dream of being a professional player or an
actress some day. But for now I have to succeed in my goals for 2003.
MELISSA NORDBY – In 2003, if I can accomplish doing better in school, I will
have a better chance of getting into level one in Junior High School and I
could get into a college with grades I receive. I will have a chance of
having a great life in the future.
JAKE STEVENS – In 2003 I’d like to improve on my piano skills. I’ve been
playing for four years and want to keep it up. Also I’d like to graduate
K.I.S. knowing that I kept up my schoolwork and graduated with awards that I
deserved.
RYAN HARDING – In 2003 I would like to accomplish being on the Peewee A
hockey team. I want to be on that team like my brother once was and I am
trying as hard as I possibly can at practice as well as in the games.
CHRISTOPHER WOODFORD – In 2003 I want to accomplish many things. I would
like to be a good football player and team player. I want to be a good
student at Silver Lake. I will work hard so I can go to college. At college,
I want to go to the winter X-games.
DOUG DROMEY – If I could accomplish something new it would be to get outside
more often. I think everyone should, too, because there is no exercise in
playing video games or watching T.V. all day. I also think I should do this
more because it is nice to get fresh air.
BOBBY REILLY – My goals for 2003 are to continue to be a strong football
player and to get better grades. I need to do well in 2003 so I can get into
a good high school and a great college. From there I will play football in
the N.F.L. and try to make eight million a season.
ARIEL ARRA – What I would like to accomplish in 2003 is to be better at
gymnastics. I have been taking gymnastics for just about ten years now and
there is still a lot for me to learn. My gymnastics teacher, Pattie, has
been helping me to accomplish my goals.
JESSICA RIVERS – In 2003 I wish to become more talented in singing and
acting. I will practice longer and stronger so I can accomplish more with
them both through the years. I will continue to sing in many programs and
choirs. I will become a great singer and actress when I get older.
KRISTINA McCARTHY – In 2003 I would like to accomplish better grades in
school. The worst thing about school is that I do not try hard enough. I
would like to improve my grades so I can be successful in everything I do. I
would also like to be better in taking good notes.
JEFF CLUETT – My dreams for 2003 are to work up to becoming a successful pro
lacrosse and paintball player. It would be an honor as the assistant coach
of my team, the Paintball Assassins, to lead them into victory. But incase
that dream fails; I will prepare to get my degree in business. These are my
goals. What are yours?
TYLER McPHEE – Vic, Dan, Jeff and I are on a paintball team and for an
accomplishment, I’d like our team to win the 2003 paintball championship,
become pros or get sponsored by my field in Massachusetts. If we use
teamwork we can win the championship and get a big trophy.Paid Advertisement
