Why do you believe reading
is an important part of life?

STEPHANIE WRIGHTINGTON - Reading
is important because when you are on your boat you have to read special
signs. I like to read Mary Kate and Ashley books.
PATRICK O'LEARY - Reading is important because you need to read
signs when you are driving. I like to read Shark books.
STEPHEN MEDLIN - Reading is important because when you grow up you
have to read cursive. I like to read sharks books.
MICHAEL CUMMINGS - Reading is important because when you grow up
and go to work you will have to read. I like to read "The Secrets of
Droon."
JAMIE SMITH - Reading is important because when you go to the
doctors you have to fill out forms. I like to read "Commotion in the
Ocean" books.
KARA SIMMONS - Reading is important because if you want to call a
friend you will need to read the phone book. I like to read animal books.
KELLY CARVER - Reading is important because when you are older and
go to high school you have to know how to read. My sister reads hard
books. I like to read Junie B. Jones.
CHRISTOS POLYCHRANOUPOLAS - Reading is important because if you
want to be a scuba diver you have to pass a written test. I like to read
Sponge Bob books.
AARON BROOKNER - I think reading is important because you read
about different facts and learn new things. It makes you smarter and it
teachers you new facts. I love reading.
NICOLE BROWN - Reading is important because it teaches you things
about life that you need to know and why you need to know it. I love to
read.
HUBBARD JORDAN - I think reading is important because you learn
something new and get smarter. Reading is fun and cool.
SARA NEARY - I think reading is important because you are learning.
Reading will make you sleepy at bedtime. I like reading to my sisters.
Read is very very fun.

learning about new facts in the book. Sometimes it makes you smart. Maybe
it's fun for you. Sometimes it makes you fall asleep. I will keep reading.

makes you sleepy before bedtime.

because you can read books to children and to be a better reader than I am

because when you read you learn. If you are a librarian and the children
can't read, then you can read stories to them.

because I could teach the students to read hard books in the FBI.
MATTHEW CULLITY - Reading is an important part of life because
architects need to read to draw big buildings. If architects don't know
how to read they will be fired. Now you know that reading is an important
part of life.
ALEX MAMAKOS - Reading is an important part of life because you
can't go to a restaurant and read the menu. You would not be able to get
the food you wanted. Now you know that reading is an important part of
life.
MATTHEW MOELLER - Reading is an important part of life because you
can't go to college. You can't do reading and homework. You can't play
with computers, type or read the writing on drinks or ice cream.
JESSICA DOUGHERTY - Reading is an important part of life because
you can't be a teacher and read to kids if you can't read. When I grow up
I want to be a teacher.
MEAGHAN CALLAHAN - Reading is an important part of life because if
you get an important letter you won't know how to read it. It might be
about my family and I might throw it away.

want to be a doctor, I have to read things to help people. If I can't
read, I have to go home and practice more.

you have a child, you won't be able to spell words for them. They will not
be able to read either.

to read a list of things to buy for my children. I need to know how to
read so I can go tot he store and buy food for my children.
CHRISTOPHER LUNDSTEDT - Life without reading would mean not being
able to read a map. You couldn't get a diploma or drive a car. Life would
be horrible without reading.
JOEL DWYER - I believe reading is an important part of life because
you learn new things, it's fun, interesting and you discover new places.
Life without reading would be bad. If I didn't know how to read it would
be hard to get a job and a house since it would be hard to get money.
That's some reasons it's important in life.
JILLIAN BENNETT - I believe reading is an important part of life
because I wouldn't get a job if I couldn't fill out an application. It
will be hard to make money and that is why you have to know how to read.
VICTORIA ROSSI - I believe reading is an important part of life
because it can make people smarter. Read is very fun and my favorite books
is "In Aunt Lucie's Kitchen."
DOMINIC VITO - I believe reading is an important for the world
because otherwise we would be lost. We would not be able to read report
cards. I like reading because its fun, it makes you smart and it can help
you learn to write. My favorite book is "Jaws."
LAUREN GRASSO - I believe reading is an important part of life
because I would not know how to read signs, order from a menu, read
directions and read a map. It would be hard to get a house because life
without reading would be hard. If I didn't know how to read I would not
know where I was going and I wouldn't be able to read my favorite book
