What are you most thankful for this Thanksgiving?
Featuring KIS students from the 3rd grades classes of Mrs. Jankowski and Mrs. Klaus

ANDREA BOURKE – On October 2nd I got my pet Angel. I am thankful for my pet dwarf hamster because Angel is cute, funny and small. Angel helped me by giving me something to play with, to care for and to love. Angel is who I am thankful -- I love her!

TIM DOERR – Last summer at my house my brother almost cut off his finger opening a can of soup. I am thankful that my brother did not lose his thumb and I am thankful that he is okay and he did not have to go to the hospital.

DEREK MEASOR – I am thankful for my dog that I got in September in Rhode Island after my dog Kojak died. But my dog is just as cute and is named Lulabell, Lu for short.

JACOB ANDERSON – I am thankful for the hospital that saved my cat from choking. My cat had to get surgery and stitches. A couple of weeks ago Tabitha got her stitches removed. That is why I am thankful for the hospital.

JANELLE PATELINE – Mom and I were in our car on Winter Street and were in a car accident. We were hit by a teenager who was drag racing and were in the hospital for about nine hours. So, this Thanksgiving I am thankful.

MATTHEW TOSCA – In June at the beach I almost drowned because the tide was coming in and my Mom saved me. All in all, I am thankful that I have a brave Mom.

CHARLIE HOWARD – In May my little brother had a vomiting spell for three weeks. We ended up going to the hospital where we had to wait for five hours. So this Thanksgiving I’m most thankful that my brother is better.

SARA NEARY – I am thankful for Shannon moving in with us. She moved in last month. She likes my sisters and me. My family likes Shannon too. Shannon sleeps downstairs. All in all, Shannon is cool and I like her.

KOURTNEY SULLIVAN – Last December we had a party at my great grandmother’s house. In October she died, but I am thankful that she had a happy life and she was very, very kind. I am happy that her graveyard is right next door to me. I’m going to her house this Thanksgiving and I will miss her a lot.

AMANADA ROSE LABRIOLA – I’m thankful for my family this Thanksgiving because they give me the things I like the most, love. They’re always there when I’m in trouble, and they always stick by me when I’m hurt. All in all, that is what I am thankful for this Thanksgiving.

CAMERON HAUGSTAD – This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my family because they have done a lot for me. They love me very much. I am thankful for my cousin because he cheers me up and plays with me and comes to my birthday parties. All in all, my family is the best.

ALLISON BOERGER – This Thanksgiving I am thankful for seeing my cousins, this past summer. We went to Scituate Beach and my cousins and I played in the sand. We went in the water only a little because it was too cold. All in all, that is what I am thankful for this Thanksgiving.

ADAM LEWIS — I’m thankful for my friends and family. My sister helps me up when I fall. When my sister falls, I help her up. My friend Dan and I help each other with our homework. All in all, this is what I’m thankful for.

DANIEL O’DONNELL – I am thankful for my Mom and Dad for giving me food. My Mom is a good cook, but my Dad cooks more than my Mom. All in all, thank you Mom and Dad.

RACHELLE LEAMAN – In September my cousin sliced her tongue open and she is still in the hospital. So this year I am thankful that she is okay.

MARTIN PAGE – This year I’m thankful that my grandma is feeling better. My grandmothers heart and lungs got sick in the spring and she now has an oxygen machine now that is helping her a lot. She can now drive around and do errands. This year I’m so glad she’s feeling better.

WILDER PARKHURST – I am thankful for my health, family and my friends because without health I can’t play sports. I am thankful that my Mom and Dad bring me to hockey and baseball. I am thankful for friends because I play with them. All in all, I am thankful for my Mom and Dad.

SAM BEANE – I am thankful for my friends and family. I am also thankful that my Dad brings me to soccer every Friday. I’m on the Wizards team. Well, now you know about what I’m thankful for.

KAELIN BROWN – In August my two cousins Mike and Trevor were in a car accident but they didn’t get hurt. This Thanksgiving I am thankful that they were not hurt.

KAYLA DICKERMAN – I’m thankful for my Mom for taking me to keyboard lessons every Friday when she gets home from her busy day. I’m thankful for my Dad because he’s the one who helps me do my homework and plays with me.

JOHN O’KEEFE – I’m most thankful for the yummy turkey and gravy this Thanksgiving. First, I’m thankful for being with my whole family. Next, I’m thankful for entering the Thanksgiving drawing contest. Finally, I’m thankful for watching football teams win.

TARA CABRAL – On Thanksgiving, I am most thankful for being together with my family and eating yummy turkey. First, everyone comes and watches football. Next, my uncle cooks and cuts the turkey. Finally, we eat the turkey. Then for dessert we have apple and pumpkin pie. That’s how I spend my Thanksgiving.

MICHELE BEAULIEU – I am thankful for my family and friends. First, we wait for my family to come over. Next, we play with the toys for a little while. Finally, we get to eat the turkey and have a feast. In closing, that is what I’m thankful for.

HEATHER PAYNE – This Thanksgiving I am most excited to eat turkey. First, I get all dressed up as a pilgrim. My Mom and Dad are Indians. Second, I drive to my Nana’s house. Finally, we eat the turkey and have fun.

JARED HAITE – I’m most thankful for celebrating Thanksgiving with my family. First, we wait for all the guests to arrive. Next, we all watch football on T.V. Finally, we eat the delicious food while watching the rest of the game, which I like best. In closing, we get full and still have room for dessert.

JOSHUA JONES – First, I am thankful for eating turkey. Next, I am thankful for being together with my family. Finally, I am thankful for every thing.

REED STANDLEY – I am most grateful for the football this year. First, we gather snacks and drinks. Next, we are ready and we all cross our fingers for the Patriots. At last the game is over and the Patriots win and we are very grateful. That is what I am thankful for this year.

BRETT SIMMONS – I’m thankful for my family. Next, I have a feast with my family. Finally, we get full and we go home. That’s the best part of Thanksgiving.JASON WOOD – This Thanksgiving I am thankful for love. First, I get to see my grandparents. Next, we all share a meal. Finally, being with my parents is always nice. That is what I’m thankful for.

SCOTT GARDNER – I am most thankful for my family this Thanksgiving. First, my family gets food for our party and then we get ready for our feast. Next, all of the rest of my family comes. Finally, my family has our party and then we dig in and it tastes great. This is what I am thankful for.

CAMERON COX – I am thankful for eating. First, my Dad gets the wood for the fire. I get to put the newspaper in then I light the fire. Next, we get the table supplies and put them on the table. Finally, my Dad puts on the football game.

JACKIE HURLEY – I am most thankful for being with my family this Thanksgiving. First, I thank my mother for cooking the big turkey for us. Next, I thank all the people who are coming, like my cousins. Finally, we eat the turkey and watch the football game.

LEA CUNNINGHAM – I am thankful on this special day. First, I am most thankful for my family’s love and support. Next, I am thankful for the feats on Thanksgiving. I also am thankful for the dessert. Usually relatives bring something.

OLIVIA SEARS – I am thankful for my family being together. First, I htank my mother for cooking the delicious food. Next, I thank my Nana and Papa and everyone else for being here. Finally, we sit down to eat and also watch the football game.

LYNDSAY LEVIN – I am most thankful for the good food. First, my Mom or Dad cuts the turkey. We have rolls, and beans too. Next, we watch football on T.V. while we eat popcorn! Finally we clean-up, eat the leftovers and say good bye! Out of all that I’m most thankful to be with my family!!

ERICA RUSSO – I am most thankful for being with my friends this Thanksgiving. First, my Mom calls my relatives to see if they can celebrate with us. Next, if they can come, my Mom and I start making dinner. Finally, we eat dinner and enjoy. That is what I’m most thankful for this Thanksgiving.

KYLIE DAVIS – This Thanksgiving I’m most thankful for my family. First, I’m going to New Jersey. Next, I help make the tasty food, play with my cousins and my brother. Finally, we eat then watch T.V. all together.

JOLENE THOMPSON – I’m thankful for eating a yummy turkey this Thanksgiving. First, we have to cook the turkey before everyone comes to my house. Next, we sit down to eat the turkey. Finally, we finish and have pie for dessert.
