Question for KES students of
grade 1:
What was the most exciting thing you
did this summer?
Featuring KES children from the first grade
classes of Mrs. MacCaffery and Mrs. Coppens
HANNAH DUBIN - I went camping with my
neighbors at Old Orchard Beach, ME. They had pools I could go in &
miniature golf, a playground & an arcade too!. I saw a pumpkin, I
dressed up as a Princess and we celebrated Halloween in August.
SAVANNAH CRAWFORD - The most exciting thing I did this summer was
go to a cottage in Maine with my family. I went swimming & used our
boogie board at the beach (Old Orchard). We went on rides at the beach, my
family got fake tattoos, and my hair was braided with beads.
KURT PILBECK - My cousin and I went to the aquarium. I saw turtles,
fish and a cave. I saw a bee in a hive inside a glass case and I could see
the honeycombs. I saw a sea lion show where a girl held a fish in her
mouth and the sea lion jumped way high in the air and grabbed the fish.
TAYLOR PIEPENBRINK - The most exciting thing of my vacation was
starting first grade and moving on to a newer grade instead of
kindergarten. Meeting new friends has been fun and taking the school bus
for the first time is great. We have a cool library at school and my
classroom is chilly.
CALLIE POLL - The most exciting thing I did was being chosen to be
a magician's assistant at Disney World with my grandparents. I was one of
100's of kids that was picked. My job was to throw coins in a cup that was
upside down. Sounds impossible but after every throw my coins magically
made it in.
ANNA PEARSONS - The most exciting thing I did this summer was going
to a water park (Water Wizz). I got to go down every waterslide, except
the big black slide. There was a big wave pool and the waves knocked me
over. My brother Thomas had fun too!
DEVENEY NOCHER - The most exciting thing I did this summer was my
birthday. I had a pool party at Nana and Papa's house. All my cousins were
their and my friends. We had fun swimming and planning the party. I like
to open presents
RYAN McCARTHY - There were two exciting things I did this summer.
One is that I became a brother! I now have a new baby sister, Mallory. The
other exciting thing I did is going to the Cape. I went to Wellfleet,
where I swam, went square dancing and I got to fly my new kite.
SAMANTHA SACRAMONA - The most exciting thing I did this summer was
go fishing with my Dad, Mom and baby sister and I reeled in a fish. I was
on my Dad's boat and we fixed the seats so that we were able to spend the
night on the boat.
JULIE LUNDSTEDT - The most exciting thing I did this summer was go
camping for the first time with my family at Bourne Scenic Park. We did
lots of fun things, fishing, riding bikes, campfires and toasted
marshmallows. We went to my baby cousin Joey's. Now I love camping except
the part when I feel off my bike.
JESSICA O'LEARY - Swimming in our new pool with my two best friends
and my brother was the most exciting thing I did this summer. Learning how
to swim under water without plugging my nose was great too.
OLIVIA KINZEL - The most exciting thing I did this summer was go to
Windmill Weekend on the cape and climbed to the top of the rock wall
really fast. I ate cotton candy and went to the beach too.
RYDER PARKHURST - The most exciting things I did this summer were
my first day of skin diving, going to Water Wizz, Adventure Island, the
Aquarium and the Children's museum.
GARETH BROWN - Going to the Patriot's game wit my Dad was the best
thing I did this summer. I also went on the waterslides at Water Wizz.
That was fun.
JACOB CORCORAN - This summer I played football with my Mom, Dad and
my brother Nick. My Mom and my brother tackled me. I also enjoyed riding
my dirt bike.
JO-ANNA WECKBACHER - We have land up in Maine and we bring our quad
(ATV) up and I get to drive it with my dad. We ride through trails and up
and down hills in the sandpit.
AMY GALINDO - The most exciting thing I did this summer was go
camping, and on my mom's birthday we got a cake. We also went to an
aquarium and we got to pet live sharks. It was fun and exciting.
MEAGAN MULKERN - The most exciting thing I did this summer was go
to White Horse Beach and the brook was deeper than ever before. I swam in
it with all the little fish.
JONAH RANDLE - The most exciting thing I did this summer was go
fishing with my family. I caught a fish!
PATRICK O'BRIEN - This summer we vacationed in Maine. We stayed in
a cabin, went swimming and canoeing. I bought army men and an old fashion
car. My dad also took me out for ice cream.
MALEA FERNANDES - The most exciting thing I did this summer is my
trip to New Hampshire with my whole family. While there I went to Water
Country where the slides are very big and fun.
BRIDGET SMITH - The most exciting thing I did this summer is going
to Chicago and going to Wrigley Field and seeing a cubs game.
ISABELLA WHITEHILL - The most special thing I did this summer was
to go to my gramma's and grandpa's house for one whole week, all by
myself.
BENJAMIN WARNOCK - The most exciting thing I did this summer was go
for a helicopter ride from my vacation in Martha's Vineyard to Children's
Hospital in Boston. |
