Signed on "May the 25th 1795" by John Gray, Eben" Washburn and Josiah Cook "select-men of Kingston," this map was prepared by Gray, who was also a surveyor, in response to a 1794 act of the Legislature. At the upper left of the original were noted "Place on the Plan 1. Kingston Meeting House 2. Great Bridge 3. Jones River Landing Place 4. Adams grist-mill and fulling mill 5. Brewster grist-mill 6.
