Note: As with the 1661
map, Plymouth Bay is shown as nearly the same size as Boston
Harbor. There was a tendency by early map makers to show well
charted areas as larger than they really were. And two of the best
charted areas in the Massachusetts Bay colony were Boston Harbor
and Plymouth Bay.
This is also the earliest area map we've been able to find (so
far) which shows Kingston as a town.
