Prince Drew was the famous maker of caulking tools, shingle rips
and cat's paws in Kingston, MA. This is one of the most important
of the New England tool manufacturers of the 19th century. Drew
caulking irons and mallets often ended up in Maine shipyards. Drew
Tools are scattered throughout the Maritime III, IV and V exhibit
areas of The Davistown Museum's The
Ancient Dominions of Maine: An Archaeology of Tools. Several
Drew tools are utilized for an interactive display at the museum.
