Top issues needing attention by The Planning Board:
1. Acceptance of Sub-Divisions: The Board should use all tools available to assure contractors, developers complete projects as designed. Funds held in escrow could be released quickly upon verified completion. Projects should not be accepted until the roads, sidewalks and drainage, etc. are in fact complete. Roadways that are not complete should not be moved forward for acceptance at Town Meeting.
2. More productive time meetings: Comments and Discussion during meetings sometimes take too long. This practice can make a 15 min. appointment extend to an hour. Obviously this is non productive and extends the meetings beyond a reasonable hour. If the board were to agree on a time limit of 2 minutes per member, the comments would have to be concise and to the point. The agenda would move forward much faster and meetings would be more productive.
3. Attendance: Today it is not required for an elected official to attend meetings; it has been an ongoing issue with this Board. I believe the Board should adopt a strict attendance policy. Planning Board Members need to be at meetings and public hearings and listen to proposals and concerns from the public. Decisions made by this board are important and shape the future of Kingston. Not attending or leaving early causes a lack of quorum and it’s not acceptable. My experience of more than 15 years serving in different committees gives me the knowledge to understand how these meeting should work.
4. My Pledge: I understand the people and the Town of Kingston, I having lived here for 35 years and demonstrated my dedication, experience and integrity; I want to preserve our past and prepare for the future. I will attend meetings. I will be prepared and ready to listen. I will make decisions based on facts and common sense.

What top four top Issues facing the board you seek?
1. The Economy
2. 1021 Kingston Place
3. Limited Tax Base
4. Building the Future of Kingston
How will you address these issues if you are elected? Developing a broader tax base for the Town not one based on just Residential, by encouraging business development. Planning for what Kingston will be in 20 years and building a stronger Town. Insure 40R bylaws are enforced and the Town receives all that was agreed upon to develop 1021 Kingston Place.
