Have you ever run for political office before? If yes, explain. No
How will you address these issues if you are elected?
I have been a resident of the Town of Kingston since 1972. I graduated from Kingston Elementary School in 1973. I then attended SLRJHS and graduated from SLRHS in 1979. After graduating from law school in 1987, I started practicing law in Kingston. I opened my own law office on Green Street in 1992. I continued practicing on Green Street until 2007; at that time the building was up for sale and I relocated to my current office in North Plymouth.
Over the years, I have volunteered my services for several nonprofits and associations. At this time, I would like to offer my expertise to the Town of Kingston. When the position of Town Moderator recently opened up, it seemed the ideal position for my experience. I think that I am a viable candidate as Town Moderator.
The position of Town Moderator is an individual elected to preside over town meeting as well as other various duties. This individual should be experienced in facilitating large assemblies. The Town of Kingston has been fortunate to have had two great prior Moderators, Frances E. Botelho-Hoeg and Attorney Lawrence Winoker, who I believe have exemplified the character necessary for this position. I am confident that I am qualified for this position based on my 21 years as a trial attorney, moderator of educational seminars and my many years as a public speaker in multiple forums. I feel strongly that the individual serving as Town Moderator should be nonpartisan to ensure the sanctity of the town meeting process. I believe my experience as an attorney, where it is necessary to remain neutral in many situations, provides me the nonpartisan skills needed to be an effective Town Moderator. I would like the opportunity to serve our Town and continue the outstanding services that Ms Botelho-Hoeg and Attoney Winoker have brought to the Town of Kingston.

Have you ever run for political office before? Elected to four terms as Kingston Selectman
I am running for Town Moderator on a write-in campaign at the urging of current Town Moderator, Fran Hoeg and many other public officials. My goal is to run an effective, productive town meeting, which respects every town meeting participant, in order to accomplish the business of the townspeople. I see this as a challenge, to courteously guide the debate in an orderly, concise manner. The town of Kingston will be facing many challenges in the future. Town meeting will need to ensure that all voices are heard and all points of view represented. I would be honored if you would write-in my name, or place a sticker in the space made available on the ballot for Town Moderator. Stickers will be available at polling places. I thank you in advance for your consideration.
